Honor is a player point system that is a factor to determine your rank within Evony.
Gaining Honor
You can gain honor by attacking or defending locations and loosing less troops recource-wise . If you have been attacked (even on Valley), returning the attack on the city that attacked you can result in a rise in Honor (defending what was taken)
Attacking a city or city’s valley when they have been declared a hostile alliance to your alliance can result in higher honor if you lose less recource in the battle.
Losing Honor
You lose honor by continuing to attack a location and loosing more recources than the other player. You can also lose honor by attacking or defending against a player whose rank is much lower than yours.
I heard that higher Honor can result in greater troup losses. I keep seeing conversations where players are trying to lower their honor. Why is that?
Because no honor = 50% troop recovery rate. Honor = 10% troop recovery rate.
With no honor, you have less chance to lose troops in battle. 50% vs 10%
When your honor is higher than opponents, your heal rate is only 10%. If it is zero and opponent has a lot of honor, the heal rate can be 50% – increases to 65% with penicillin. So imagine the advantages of having 0 honor. In heavy combat with lots of attrition, you are returning 50-65% of your losses – while your opponent is returning 10%.

Scout Bombs are the most often used method of losing honor that I know of. Does anyone else know a good or better way?

what are scout bombs?
Scouts Bombs are an attack consists of 100k scouts. The more waves you sent to a penetrating city the more you will hurt them but BUT if against a much more troops then the bombs could hurt you as well and none shall return back.
Sent 100 warriors in waves vs a town. Its a really good way to lose honor
Scout Bomb is when you attack with 100,000 scouts.Scouts are very easy to replace,I can build 150,000 scouts+/day.So since they are so easy to replace you bring down enemy’s troops number by that and you also pass some honor to your enemy xD if you are lucky ,you can kill 40,000 archers with 100,000scouts,so if the enemy has 400,000 archers 1,000,000 scouts will do (if you are lucky).I use to use Scout Bombs to bring down troop number of enemy and than send waves of archers and cavalries.
